When it comes to Internet marketing, PPC - or pay-per-click  is probably king of all campaigns. Learn some pay-per-click tips for newbies, and you'll learn how to make these programs work for you.

 What is Pay-per-click?

Pay-per-click, or PPC, is a dominate form of Internet marketing that's built around keywords (like everything else online these days). Working with the search engines, sponsored links crop up on Web pages when certain keywords are entered or visible on the page. You'll see sponsored links on all kinds of different sites, everything from search engines themselves to blogs that are updated regularly. PPC is visible all over the Internet because it works. Sponsored ads lead consumers to advertiser websites, and a lot of companies are getting tons of traffic from these campaigns.

 Newbie Tips

Are you a pay-per-click newbie? Don't worry - everyone's got to start somewhere. Learn a few tips that will help you get your PPC up and running

Tip No. 1 - Keyword Optimization

You'll want to use keywords that directly relate to your site and services, but be sure to use popular keywords, too. Keywords like "money" appear in popular searches every single week. Be sure to optimize your pages and your links for all of these keywords, so your sponsored links appear often.

Tip No. 2 - The Landing Page

The landing page is the page users will find once they've clicked on your links. Make sure this page is compelling, pleasing to the eye, and very easy to use. You want to draw people in, gain their attention, and make the sale. All of this depends on your landing page, so take the time to build a great one.

Tip No. 3 - Contact Information

On all your pages, you want your contact information to be highly visible and easy to access. If customers can't contact you, they can't become customers. Make sure your contact information is accessible, or else no amount of marketing is ever going to work.

Tip No. 4 - Start Slow

If you're a newbie and just getting your start with PPC, start out slow. You don't want to bite off more than you can chew, as the saying goes, so work with only one or two search engines in the beginning. Don't spread yourself too thin, because it's important to always have quality ads.

tip No. 5 - Gather Information

Before entering into any PPC agreement, make sure you look over your terms and conditions carefully. Find out all the necessary payment information, and get any questions answered before you make any agreements. After all, you want to be sure you get exactly what you want!
