How To Effectively Manage Multiple PPC Projects
|
w things you need to do to ensure that all your projects are a rousing success.
Set Goals for Each Project
For each PPC campaign, set specific goals regarding conversion rates, sales figures, lead generation and marketing costs. Set long- and short-term goals and schedule time to check how you are doing on each goal for each project. Having clear aims and a way of checking in on those goals regularly is one of the best - and simplest - tools for PPC management. It lets you ensure that no one project falls through the cracks as you juggle multiple campaigns. Good organization is king if you ever want to master more than one PPC project at a time.
Delegate and Automate
Find ways to take care of the minor or repetitive tasks for each PPC campaign, so that you have more time to devote to the high-priority items. For example, you may want to buy bid management tools that help you automate the bidding process for terms. If you are looking at multiple campaigns, be sure to look for software that can handle multiple PPC projects. Some of the latest titles can handle thousands of words, so this should be no trouble. If software is not enough, consider outsourcing some of your tasks to a service, PPC management company or new staff member.
Develop Marketing Budgets
You may want to set up separate marketing accounts for each PPC campaign you are overseeing, to ensure that one project does not eat up all your funding, leaving other campaigns with no money at all. Make sure that you budget for long-term campaigns. The amount of money you spend on a campaign today may not be the same amount you will be spending on the same project in six months, so you need to budget for that right now. Also, keep in mind that different projects may be proceeding at different paces. This is perfectly normal and you do not want to impose the same budget template on all your campaigns. Work on each budget completely separately, to help things stay clear.
Develop Good Communication
Once you are running several PPC campaigns, you are likely no longer working alone. You will have to develop a good system of communication for your various clients, customers, companies and employees. For each campaign, set up separate communication channels and a regular scheduled when you can call, talk to, or email those involved with the campaign. Always be professional and honest in all your communications and work to find common solutions profitable for everyone. You will find that your PPC campaigns are a lot more successful if you plan to communicate well with everyone involved. |
