However, by taking the free life insurance lead, you may be asked to sign a contract and those free leads might not be guaranteed so there wouldn't be a replacement if they turned out to be bogus leads. Since you didn't spend any money on the leads that probably won't matter much but it can be a good indicator of how they will do business with you in the future should you encounter a problem with the life insurance leads you receive from them.
Whenever you are considering an offer for a free life insurance lead, even though you aren't spending any out of pocket marketing money, you should still look over any fine print associated with the free insurance lead offer. You don't want to commit yourself to a company that offers stale leads or asks you sign your business over to them. Keep your options open.
